Peter Bjorn and John bring 'Living Thing' stateside

Peter Bjorn and John will spend three weeks canvassing North America this fall on the heels of a European run behind their spring release, "Living Thing."

The Swedish pop trio, which opened for Depeche Mode on a recent US summer tour, will spend October performing throughout Europe before heading stateside for a headlining club tour that kicks off Nov. 7 in Washington, DC. The band will hit 11 cities nationwide, as well as one Canadian stop booked for Nov. 11 in Toronto. The full schedule is shown below.

Swedish indie-pop act El Perro del Mar will open the North American dates. Information about the European leg can be found at the band's website.

"Living Thing," Peter Bjorn and John's fifth studio album and first since 2006's "Writer's Block," landed in stores in March. Last year, the trio unveiled "Seaside Rock," a mostly-instrumental 10-track set, which was only available digitally and on vinyl.

In July, the Swedish rockers released an EP entitled "It Don't Move Me," with remixes from Miike Snow, Weird Tapes and Jocko for Teddybears. The four-track download is available at the band's website.
