Album Chart: Colbie Caillat has a No. 1 'Breakthrough'
"Breakthrough," the sophomore album from MySpace phenom Colbie Caillat, takes over the top spot on the US album chart, and is one of several new releases to debut in this week's Top 10.
With sales of 106,000 copies, "Breakthrough" handily outsold its closest competition, and will enter The Billboard 200 chart at No. 1, according to Nielsen SoundScan retails figures as reported by Billboard. Skillet's "Awake" follows at No. 2 after selling 68,000 copies during its first week in stores, and Miley Cyrus' "The Time of Our Lives" EP--available exclusively at Walmart--debuts at No. 3 with a first-week tally of 62,000 copies.
Meanwhile, Kings of Leon's "Only By the Night" stands at No. 4 with sales of 52,000 copies, and Imogen Heap's "Ellipse" makes its debut at No. 5 after selling 48,000 copies during its first week of release.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Reba McEntire's "Keep On Loving You," which drops from No. 1 to No. 6 with 42,000 copies; George Strait's "Twang," which slips five places to No. 7 on sales of 41,000 copies; the Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." at No. 8 with 36,000 copies; Taylor Swift's "Fearless" at No. 9 with 34,000 copies; and the "Now That's What I Call Country Vol. 2" compilation at No. 10 with 33,000 copies.
