Keb' Mo' unveiled his most recent album and eighth studio set, "Suitcase," in the summer of 2006. The record, the follow-up to 2004's "Peace...Back by Popular Demand," took the top spot of Billboard's Top Blues Albums chart upon its release.
In January, Mo' debuted the single "A Brand New America" in conjunction with President Barack Obama's inauguration. According to Mo's website, the bluesman is anticipating the release of a new studio effort sometime this year.
