Peaches firms up fall North American tour plans
Electroclash singer/songwriter Peaches has mapped fall dates behind her latest studio product, "I Feel Cream," which surfaced this spring.
The tour gets underway Oct. 24 in Las Vegas, and continues through late November, concluding with a Nov. 28 show in Los Angeles. Details of the 29-city trek are included below.
Earlier this year the often crass Canadian singer offered up "I Feel Cream," her follow-up to 2006's "Impeach My Bush." The set was mainly produced by the artist herself, with input on several tracks from James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, Soulwax, Drums of Death, Digitalism and Shapemod. The album peaked at No. 5 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, the same position it held on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart.
Peaches--whose real name is Merrill Nisker--courted controversy with her previous release, "Impeach My Bush," but subverts "preconceived notions of who Peaches is and what she does" on her latest studio effort, according to her website.
"I have a strong image and a strong character,” she said in her online bio. "I just didn't want everything to have a punch line."
