Buckcherry mounts California club tour

Buckcherry will embark on a brief club tour next month, according to Dreamworks. The California-based rock act has lined up nine dates in its home state, beginning on Nov. 2 in San Diego.

The group's road trip will also feature stops in Santa Anita, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo, Chico, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Sacramento.

Tickets for the group's Nov. 2 show in San Diego and Nov. 3 show in Santa Ana are on sale now, according to Ticketmaster.com.

The band has been in the studio since May working on its second album, which is due for release in March 2001, according to MTV.

The new disc is the follow-up to the band's self-titled debut album, released in April 1999. That disc was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in September 1999 for shipping over 500,000 copies. Sales of the disc were driven by the band's Top 20 hit "Lit Up."
