Trail of Dead maps fall 'Century' trek
Alt-rockers ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead have lined up a fall headlining tour as they continue to build support for February's "The Century of Self."
The trek kicks off Sept. 12 in Houston and runs through an Oct. 23 show in Oklahoma City, OK. Full details on the 28-city outing are included below.
Fellow Texans Secret Machines will support on all dates up to and including the Sept. 29 Dallas show; following an Oct. 3 appearance at Austin, TX's Austin City Limits Festival, opening support will come from Welsh rockers Future of the Left.
"The Century of Self," Trail of Dead's sixth studio album, surfaced in February. Produced by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, !!!), the set is the group's first since leaving the Interscope label following 2006's "So Divided."
"On the last two albums, we were really meticulous recording to click-tracks and doing overdubs," frontman Conrad Keely told Billboard.com last summer. "This time, we threw all that out. We learned the songs and all tracked live."
Trail of Dead released a four-song EP, "Festival Thyme," in October. Two of the EP's songs--"Bells of Creation" and "Inland Sea"--are included on "Century" in alternate versions.
