Boys Like Girls canvas US behind 'Love Drunk'

Pop-rockers Boys Like Girls will return to the road this fall for a two-month tour in support of their impending release, "Love Drunk."

Beginning Oct. 14 in Buffalo, NY, the Boston band will hit the tour trail, performing at clubs and theaters in 30 cities throughout the nation. The headlining run, which will also feature Arizona pop outfit The Maine, will conclude with a two-night stand Nov. 27-28 back home in Foxborough, MA. The full itinerary is shown below.

Cobra Starship, Rocket To The Moon and Versa Emerge will provide opening support.

Boys Like Girls will celebrate the Sept. 8 release of "Love Drunk," the group's sophomore effort, with an appearance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that evening, followed by a free concert Sept. 13 outside of Gillette Stadium--the New England Patriots' home field--in Foxborough, MA, in honor of the team's 2009 season kick-off.

Frontman Martin Johnson will ring in the 40th season of the NFL's Monday Night Football the following night (9/14) by singing the National Anthem before the New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills.

"Love Drunk"--produced by Brian Howes, S*A*M and Sluggo--marks the follow-up to the band's 2006 self-titled debut, which peaked at No. 55 on The Billboard 200. The title track is currently streaming at the band's website, along with a music video for the lead single.
