Mat Kearney plans fall jaunt behind 'Black & White'

With five dates remaining on his US summer run, Mat Kearney has mapped out another headlining trek for the fall as he continues supporting his recent release, "City of Black & White."

The singer/songwriter, who first hit the tour trail in early May, will wrap up the summer portion with a July 25 performance at the Hurley US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA. After a two-month hiatus, Kearney will return to the stage Sept. 21 in Columbus, OH, for the first concert of a 32-city road trip slated to visit clubs throughout the US and parts of Canada. The fall outing will wrap up with a Nov. 10 show in Los Angeles. Details are below.

"City of Black & White," Kearney's third album--the follow-up to his 2006 major-label debut, "Nothing Left to Lose"--surfaced in mid-May. The effort, which debuted at No. 13 on The Billboard 200, includes the single "Closer to Love," which this week sits at No. 20 on Billboard's Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks. The music video is currently streaming at Kearney's website.

The Oregon native and Nashville transplant began his career as a Christian artist, but crossed over to mainstream markets with the hit single, "Nothing Left to Lose," one of many songs that made it into movie promos and primetime television shows.
