KMFDM prepares to 'Blitz' US stages
European industrial rockers KMFDM have announced dates for a fall US tour in support of the band's 16th studio album, "Blitz."
The group, currently on the European leg of its 2009 tour schedule, kicks off the concert run Sept. 23 in Washington, DC. The band will travel to 30 cities on the trek, concluding with an Oct. 31 show in St. Petersburg, FL. Dates are below.
Most shows are currently on sale. Information on the remaining dates, along with the band's European tour schedule, can be found at the official KMFDM website.
"Blitz," the band's 16th studio album and the follow-up to 2007's "Tohuvabohu," surfaced in March. The set reached No. 1 on the CMJ Loud Rock Select chart, with one of the album's tracks, "People of the Lie," recently scoring three straight weeks atop CMJ's Loud Rock Select Tracks chart.
In addition to the new album, the band recently re-released its entire back catalog from the group's WaxTrax! era via Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records. The remastered, reissued albums, 10 of them in all, sport new liner booklets with some containing extra tracks, according to a press release.
