Seattle's Noise For The Needy benefit festival raised cash and sprits last week (6/10-6/14) by way of such artists as headliners Art Brut, as well as Hey Marseilles, The Constantines, Black Night Crash, Grand Archives, I Was a King, Crystal Antlers, Mike Snow and Throw Me The Statue, to name a few.
What started out in 1991 as the brainchild of Dave Green--who simply wanted to raise money for a struggling soup kitchen--has become an annual event, taking place at venues across the city, including the very popular Neumo's. This year's proceeds will go to the non-profit Transitional Resources, a residential mental-health center in West Seattle.
SoundSpike photographer Elisa Sherman was attended the event, and here are some of her best shots.
