DevilDriver, Emmure headline second annual Thrash & Burn tour
The heavy-metal outing Thrash & Burn will take to the road for the second consecutive year, this time headlined by DevilDriver and Emmure.
The North American tour will begin July 24 in San Diego, working its way counterclockwise across the nation, dropping by clubs and theaters through an Aug. 28 finale in Salt Lake City. Details are shown below.
California-based DevilDriver will drop its fourth studio album, "Pray for Villains," July 14--just days before the metal jaunt gets underway.
"We are elated to bring our first full headlining tour of major markets and combine it with Thrash & Burn's pick of new, up-and-coming heavy bands," DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara said in a press release. "Affordable tickets, combined with a full package of amazing bands with a wide range of different styles and sounds, will make for an insanely killer time for those who come out to the shows."
New England death-metal outfit Emmure most recently released "The Respect Issue," the group's second studio effort, last spring.
Several underground metal bands are also scheduled to take the stage, including Despised Icon, My Children My Bride, Veil of Maya, For the Fallen Dreams, Oceano, Periphery and Thy Will Be Done.
