Susan Boyle hospitalized after 'Talent' finale

Susan Boyle was admitted to a private London mental-health clinic following her final performance on "Britain's Got Talent" because she was feeling "physically and mentally drained," according to BBC News.

One of the show's judges, Piers Morgan, told the BBC that Boyle admitted she had not been sleeping or eating properly during her stint on the television show. Morgan attributed Boyle's sleep and diet problems to negative press coverage and the pressure of the show's Saturday (5/30) final.

Boyle's brother told BBC News that his sister has always tended to get a bit anxious in normal stressful situations such as exams. He said the stress of becoming a national celebrity coupled with the fact that she had been away from home and surrounded by strangers while competing on the show possibly lead to her exhaustion.
