Chris Isaak announces 'Lucky' summer run
After hinting at an impending run since early April, Chris Isaak has finally unveiled the full roster of summer shows behind his recently released album, "Mr. Lucky.
The simply titled 'Chris Isaak Summer Tour,' which will feature Isaak's backing band Silvertone, begins July 10 in Council Bluffs, IA, stopping by casinos, amphitheaters and clubs through early September. Two California shows slated for this weekend--Friday (5/22) in Rancho Mirage and Sunday (5/24) in Sonoma--precede the summer outing. Details are below.
"I have my dream job and I’m still working," the singer said in a press release. "You just can't get 'luckier' than that."
The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter is supporting "Mr. Lucky," which surfaced in February and peaked at No. 29 on The Billboard 200. The effort's first single, "We Let Her Down," is in rotation now on stations nationwide.
Isaak, who released his debut album "Silvertone" over two decades ago, doubles as a TV show host on his Biography Channel series "The Chris Isaak Hour." The weekly, one-hour program has featured interviews and performances by artists such as Stevie Nicks, Trisha Yearwood, Chicago, Smashing Pumpkins and Michael Buble.
