Tori Amos backs 'Sin' with theater tour

Tori Amos will launch a thorough US theater trek this summer behind her impending May 19 release, "Abnormally Attracted to Sin."

The piano-playing singer/songwriter will kick off the 'Sinful Attraction' tour July 10 in Seattle, hitting concert halls and theaters in 26 cities from coast to coast through mid-August. The road trip, which features a two-night stand July 13-14 at Oakland, CA's Paramount Theatre, finishes up Aug. 17 in Boston. Details are shown below.

"Abnormally Attracted to Sin," Amos' 10th studio album and first on the Universal Republic label, hits shelves next week. Videos for the effort's first two singles, "Welcome to England" and "Fire to Your Plain," are streaming at the performer's website.

The deluxe version of the record will also include a digital booklet, one bonus track and a DVD of corresponding episodic films for each track, which "bring to life the narrative arc of the album," according to a press release.

Fans who pre-ordered the album also will be eligible to purchase tickets to the upcoming tour before they go on sale to the general public, according to Amos' website.

Amos, who most recently released "American Doll Posse" in 2007, will head across the pond after the US run for performances in Amsterdam and Vienna.
