Destiny’s Child lines up U.K. shows
LONDON-- Destiny's Child will play three British arena dates in November after wrapping up its current American tour. The shows will promote the female R&B group's forthcoming single "Independent Women," which will be released in the U.K. on Nov. 20 and is taken from the soundtrack of the upcoming film "Charlie's Angels."
The trio--Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams--are currently supporting Christina Aguilera on her U.S. outing. Former member Farrah Franklin parted company with the group in July after a mere five months. She and Williams had been recruited at the same time to replace original members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.
Destiny's Child's latest album, 1999's "The Writing's on the Wall," peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and is currently at No. 19.
