Album Chart: 'Hannah Montana' climbs to No. 1
After four weeks in stores, the " Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack has clawed its way to the top of the US album chart.
With sales of 133,000 copies, "Hannah Montana" will take over the No. 1 spot on The Billboard 200, despite a one-week drop off of more than 30% in sales over its previous week out, according to Billboard. (Billboard bases its flagship chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail data.)
The "Hannah Montana" one-week total was still more than enough to keep it well ahead of Day26's "Forever In a Day," which makes its debut at No. 2 on first-week sales of 113,000 copies, and Rascal Flatts' "Unstoppable," which drops to No. 3 on sales of 107,000 copies.
Meanwhile, the "Twilight" soundtrack jumps to No. 4 with sales of 49,000, and the "Now 30" hits compilation stays put at No. 5 with 45,000.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Jadakiss' "The Last Kiss" at No. 6 with just shy of the "Now 30" total; Silversun Pickups' "Swoon" at No. 7 with 43,000 copies; Lady GaGa's "The Fame" at No. 8 with 36,000; Jason Aldean's "Wide Open" at No. 9 with 35,000; and Taylor Swift's "Fearless" at No. 10 with 32,000.
