The Wiggles set to 'Go Bananas' stateside
The Wiggles will wow American pre-schoolers this summer when they hit the US tour trail behind "The Wiggles Go Bananas! Live in Concert," the colorful Australian group's latest release.
The foursome and their Wiggly friends--Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog, Captain Feathersword and the Wiggly Dancers--will begin the "Go Bananas!" outing July 17 in Everett, WA, with two shows daily in each of the 15 scheduled stops. The full itinerary is below.
The interactive song-and-dance summer trek will explore the animal kingdom, bringing tracks like "Kangaroo Jumping," "Tasmanian Devil" and "Tiger Man" to life for the under-five audience. Classic Wiggles' favorites such as "Fruit Salad," "Monkey Dance" and "Hot Potato" will also be a part of the educational extravaganza.
This outing marks the group's 18th year of children's entertainment with more than 23 million DVDs and seven millions CDs sold. In October, the entertainers put out "The Wiggles: Sing a Song of Wiggles!," an 86-minute DVD including classic nursery rhymes like "Rock a Bye Baby" and "Humpty Dumpty."
