Featured Photos: Coachella Festival Day 1, Indio, CA - April 17, 2009

More than 40 bands played on Day 1 of this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival. The big draw cards included Paul McCartney, Leonard Cohen and Morrissey.

Artists of a younger generation included; Franz Ferdinand, Conor Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band, The Black Keys, M Ward, Silversun Pickups, Ting Tings, dj Felix Da Housecat and the new British buzz band White Lies.
