Limp Bizkit, Eminem, P-Roach, Xzibit link for tour
A long-delayed package tour featuring fellow malcontents Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Papa Roach and Xzibit is no longer just a rumor. Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst announced the opening dates of the tour during a Monday (9/26) phone call to MTV's "Total Request Live."
Durst said that the outing--dubbed the Anger Management tour--will open on Oct. 19 at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J., and that rapper DMX is expected to hook up with the package on some of its later, as-yet-unspecified dates. Ticket on-sale information was not announced, but more information is likely to surface in the coming days.
A new Limp Bizkit album titled "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" is due in stores on Oct. 19. The lack of new product hasn't kept the band off the road in 2000, though: Limp Bizkit recently played a series of free shows sponsored by file-sharing company Napster.
This summer, Eminem toured with the highly successful Dr. Dre-led Up In Smoke tour, and he has since been making appearances at various festivals. He is scheduled to appear on "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 7.
Papa Roach recently appeared on Korn's Summer Sanitarium and select Vans Warped Tour dates. The band has also played at several radio festivals and has headlined a club tour.
