Badly Drawn Boy To Crack America

LONDON--Britain's Mercury Music Prize winner Badly Drawn Boy will tour North America in November following the release of his award-winning album "The Hour of Bewilderbeast" in the U.S. on Oct. 3.

Damon Gough, the man behind Badly Drawn Boy, will kick off his club venture in early November, and the tour will hit both coasts.

Mercury Music Prize judges chose "The Hour of Bewilderbeast" as the best new British album to be released in the past 12 months on Tuesday (9/12) because of its varying styles from mellow rock to cocktail jazz. Prior to playing in America, Badly Drawn Boy will undertake a 13-date tour of the U.K. beginning on Oct. 12 in Leeds, England.
