Charts: Eminem Climbs, Britney Dips, Nelly Stays Put At No. 1 After Video Music Awards

Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP" claws its way back to No. 2 this week after spending four weeks stuck at No. 3. The move pushes Britney Spears' "Oops! … I Did It Again" to No. 3 after an eight-week run at No. 2. Nelly's "Country Grammar," meanwhile, manages to hold the album chart's top spot for the fifth week in a row, and fellow rapper C-Murder's "Trapped In Crime" makes its debut in the Top 10.

Sales of "The Marshall Mathers LP" jumped about four thousand copies from the previous week's totals, according to information from Interscope. The increase came the same week that the controversial rapper snagged three wins at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA). Spears, meanwhile--who was unable to turn any of her VMA nominations into a win--saw sales of "Oops!" dip, despite her half-naked, lip-synched performance at the ceremony.

Though not nominated for any awards, Nelly did perform "(Hot S**t) Country Grammar"--with some seeming difficulty keeping his pants up--at the VMA, and continues his dominant run atop the charts. The St. Louis rapper was a last-minute replacement for DMX, scratched from the lineup for the second year in a row, after he failed show up for the ceremony's dress rehearsal for the second year in a row, according to MTV.

Creed's "Human Clay" stays put at No. 4 this week, while 'N Sync's "No Strings Attached" surges ahead from No. 8 to No. 5 in the wake of the group's performance and three wins at the VMA.

'N Sync's leap pushes the "NOW That's What I Call Music Vol. 4" compilation down to No. 6, while 3 Doors Down's "Better Life" continues to ride at No. 7 for yet another week. Papa Roach, meanwhile--who delivered a pre-awards-show performance at the VMAs--return to the No. 8 position with "Infest," which had dropped to No. 9 last week.

This week's highest debut comes from C-Murder, little brother of rapper Master P. C-Murder's third solo effort, "Trapped in Crime," scores the No. 9 position, pushing DJ Clue's "Backstage Mixtape" to No. 10, down from its No. 6 debut last week.
