U.K. Charts: Robbie Williams Is Still Albums King, Singles Get Funky

LONDON-- Robbie Williams stayed at the top of the Official U.K. Album Chart for a second week in a row on Sunday (9/10) with his third LP "Sing When You're Winning." He was trailed closely by R&B singer Craig David at No. 2 with "Born To Do It" and Ronan Keating at No. 3 with "Ronan."

In just two weeks, Williams' album has gone triple platinum, while David's debut LP has been certified platinum and Keating's album is double platinum.

Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP" jumped up one place to No. 4 while the Corrs' "In Blue" fell one place to No. 5. Melanie C and David Gray stayed put at No. 6 and No. 7, respectively.

The only new entry in the Top 10 this week was Spandau Ballet's "Gold: The Best Of" at No. 8. The two other new entries in the Top 50 were Underworld with "Everything Everything" at No. 22 and folk rock group the Levellers at No. 28 with "Hello Pig."

Meanwhile, French funk group Modjo topped the Official U.K. Singles Chart with its popular Ibiza (the European mecca of dance music) anthem, "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)." Dance star and DJ Sonique's "Sky" debuted at No. 2 and Wyclef Jean's "It Doesn't Matter" debuted at No. 3.

Last week's No. 1 hit "Take on Me," the A-ha cover by A1, fell to No. 4 while Madonna's "Music" fell to No. 5. Other new entries in the Top 10 included 'N Sync at No. 9 with "It's Gonna Be Me" and MTV presenter Richard Blackwood at No. 10 with "1-2-3-4 Get with the Wicked."
