Stone Temple Pilots To Tour The U.S. Through The Fall

Stone Temple Pilots plan to remain on the road after finishing up their opening stint for the Red Hot Chili Peppers later this month, according to the group's management. The band has lined up 11 dates, beginning with a Sept. 30 radio festival in Indianapolis.

In addition to five radio festival appearances, STP have six headlining dates that will feature Disturbed in the opening slot. Disturbed's debut album, "Sickness," currently resides at No. 39 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and features the band's hit single "Stupify."

Tickets for STP's newly added shows in Madison and Milwaukee, Wis., go on sale on Friday morning (9/8), while tickets to their Philadelphia, Scranton, Pa., and Boston shows go on sale on Saturday (9/9).

Following the current itinerary's Oct. 15 wrap-up in Pensacola, Fla., STP, Disturbed and Godsmack are expected to hit the road together for MTV's Return of the Rock tour, according to STP's management. Dates for that tour have not yet been announced.

STP's run with Red Hot Chili Peppers continues on Saturday night (9/9) in Mountain View, Calif., and ends on Sept. 22 in Seattle.
