Janet Jackson has been hospitalized with an unspecified illness, which forced her to cancel yesterday's (9/29) planned performance in Montreal, TMZ.com reported.

A representative of Jackson's publicity firm reportedly told the website that Jackson became ill during the soundcheck for the Montreal show, and was rushed to the hospital.

No information about Jackson's specific condition has been released.

As previously reported, Jackson also canceled her planned Friday (9/26) performance in the Detroit area, citing "production restraints."
