Pianist Jim Brickman Plans Back-To-Back Tours

Jim Brickman will spend the rest of the year touring extensively in North America, beginning with a fall outing scheduled to kick off in Alabama on Friday night (9/8), according to his official website. That tour will end on Nov. 18, and will be followed by a holiday tour--set to start on Nov. 25--that will feature Donny Osmond.

Brickman's fall tour will support his recently released CD "My Romance: An Evening With Jim Brickman." The disc captures the pianist-songwriter's PBS concert special, which featured guest appearances by Osmond, Olivia Newton-John, Dave Koz, David Benoit and Anne Cochran. A VHS and DVD release of the program is planned for this month, according to Brickman's website.

The holiday tour, meanwhile, will feature the accompaniment of Osmond, and will get underway in Minneapolis. Twenty-six holiday performances are scheduled, including a two-night stand in Cleveland on Dec. 30 and 31. Osmond will not be appearing on those two dates, but will be replaced by saxophonist Koz.
