BT, Hooverphonic Set For Fall Tour
BT--a.k.a. Brian Transeau--and Hooverphonic will join forces to kick off a North American tour in Austin, Texas, on Sept. 28, according to Nettwerk Records. The tour will include an Oct. 20 stop in New York City during the annual CMJ Music Marathon.
"Movement in Still Life," (Nettwerk) is the latest from electronic artist BT, and features the radio hit "Never Gonna Come Back Down." The album is the follow-up to 1997's "ESCM," and is currently No. 16 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart this week, according to Billboard.
BT, who contributed the track "Believer" to the 1999 soundtrack for the motion picture "Go," has a song featured in the upcoming film "Under Suspicion," starring Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman, according to the tour's official website. He has also created remixes for artists such as Madonna, Seal and Sarah McLachlan, the site said. BT will be touring with a full band, according to Nettwerk Records.
Hooverphonic, meanwhile, will release its third album, "The Magnificent Tree" (Sony), in the U.S. on Sept. 26, according the tour's website. The Belgian group's song "Renaissance Affair"--from its 1998 album "Blue Wonder Power Milk"--is featured in a current Volkswagen advertising campaign, according to the tour site.
