New Dates Set For Three Jimmy Page-Black Crowes Shows
update: Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes have rescheduled three of seven shows that were postponed after Page suffered a back injury. The remaining four dates will not be rescheduled due to "routing problems," according to a press release issued by the Crowes' publicist.
Shows have been rescheduled for the tour's stops at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif. (Sept. 15), Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif. (Sept. 17), and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Houston area (Sept. 20). Tickets for the originally scheduled dates will be honored on the new dates.
The other four postponed dates--which had been scheduled to take place in George, Wash., Sacramento, Calif., Denver and Dallas--have been canceled. Ticket-holders for those shows should contact their ticket-seller for refund information.
The third leg of the Page-Crowes tour opens next month, and will conclude with four co-billed shows with The Who at New York's Madison Square Garden. Following those shows, the tour will part ways with the Who tour, which has shared a crew and staging elements with Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes in the U.S.
Both tours will move separately into the U.K. and Europe in November, with the Page-Crowes tour heading into Japan for the first half of December.
