Page-Crowes Postponements Derail The Cult’s Tour

The Cult has cancelled all but three of the headlining shows that had been scheduled around the band's stint as the opening act on the since-postponed Jimmy Page-Black Crowes tour.

In the wake of the cancellations, the Cult's only headlining appearances are currently at the Ventura Theatre in Ventura, Calif., on Wednesday (8/16), at The Joint in Las Vegas on Sept. 2 and at 4th & B in San Diego on Sept. 3.

According to the band's official website, it is now unlikely that the Cult will schedule another tour before the band's new album is completed in early 2001.

The August dates on the Page-Crowes tour, which were to feature the Cult in the opening slot, were postponed after Page suffered a back injury.
