Moe. Unveils Fall Tour Plans, Moe.Down Approaches

Jam band moe. has solidified its fall touring plans, unveiling a stretch of performances that runs through early December. The band has also assembled the first moe.down, a three-day music and camping event that will feature Ani DiFranco, David Grisman Quintet, Les Claypool Brigade, Martin Sexton, Great Big Sea, Charlie Hunter Trio, and many others.

The moe.down is scheduled to take place Sept. 1-3 at the Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin, N.Y., which is located northeast of Syracuse. moe. is expected to play five sets over the course of the weekend. Other confirmed acts include Red Gills, FreeBeerAndChicken, the Ominous Seapods, Ha Ha the Moose, Al & the Transamericans, the Slip, Fathead, the Steam Donkeys, Big Jim, Spanked at Birth, Dexter Grove, Wooden Spoon and more.

A tour of Japan will follow, and moe.'s fall tour is scheduled to open on Sept. 29 in Florida.

The band released a live two-CD live set titled "moe.L" (Fatboy) earlier this year. The CD was recorded on the band's fall 1999 tour.
