Alice Cooper Brings His Nightmare To The U.S.

After spending much of the summer promoting his 24th album overseas, shock-rock architect Alice Cooper will take his production to the U.S. in September. The new album "Brutal Planet" (Spitfire) was released in June, and climbed only as high as No. 193 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Despite the album's slow sales in the U.S., Cooper's bread-and-butter has always been live performance. His current production is titled "Alice Cooper's Rock 'N Roll Carnival Show," and has already visited Sweden, Russia, Germany, Holland and the U.K. in 2000.

Before his Sept. 3 concert appearance at the Michigan State Fair, Cooper is slated to throw out the first pitch at a Detroit Tigers game, according to Spitfire Records.

In 1999, Warner Archives/Rhino Records released a four-CD box set titled "The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper," which chronicles his 30-year musical history.
