K.D. Lang To Distribute Enhanced CDs On Solo Tour
Style-hopping singer k.d. lang--who has dabbled in everything from country music to campy pop over the course of her career--will headline a U.S. theater tour after she wraps up her short stint on Sting's tour on Saturday (8/5).
Lang is touring in support of her latest release "Invincible Summer" (Warner Bros.), which has been in stores since June.
Beginning with the Aug. 9 start of her headlining tour, an Enhanced CD produced by ARTISTdirect in conjunction with Warner Bros. will be given to audience members at each stop on the tour, according to ARTISTdirect.
The Enhanced CD features audio and video for two previously unreleased live tracks--"Extraordinary Thing" and "The Consequences of Falling"--that were recorded during the National Public Radio show "The World Café" in May. The CD also features a video for her new single "Summerfling" and a slide show.
Lang's tour will move to Europe in October, and a second U.S. leg will open in November.
