Hot-Selling Papa Roach Sets Club Dates

Rock-rappers Papa Roach have lined up a series of club dates to follow the band's stint as a support act on the Korn tour. More than a million copies of Papa Roach's major label debut album "Infest" have sold in the U.S. since its release in April, and the album currently sits at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Papa Roach has toured consistently in 2000, beginning with a club tour that got underway before the release of "Infest." Prior to joining the Korn tour, the band appeared on several Van's Warped Tour dates.

Papa Roach built a large following in California before securing their major label deal with Dreamworks Records. The band released its first independent CD "Caca Bonita" in 1995, followed by 1997's "Old Friends from Young Years," 1998's "5 Tracks Deep" and 1999's "Let 'Em Know." All of the albums were released on the band's Onion Hardcore Recordings label. (The band emerged from Northern California town of Vacaville, which touts itself as the onion capital of the world.)

The tour with Korn and Powerman 5000 ends on Aug. 20, but Papa Roach has scheduled club shows in Dallas and Houston for two of the tour's off days.
