AC/DC Extend "Stiff Upper Lip" Outing

LONDON--AC/DC has announced a five-date U.K. tour which will kick off at the end of November. The group is currently on tour in North America, with support from former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash's new group Slash's Snakepit. They will start their arena venture in Britain at the NEC in Birmingham, England, on November 28.

The group's first U.K. dates since their 1996 Ballbreaker Tour follow the release, earlier this year, of its latest album "Stiff Upper Lip".

Earlier this year, the Recording Industry Association of America presented AC/DC with a diamond award--certifying 10 million copies sold--for the band's 1980 album "Back in Black." One of the top-selling rock acts of the late 1970s and early 1980s, the band has sold nearly 85 million records worldwide, according to Elektra.

"Stiff Upper Lip" has been certified gold by the RIAA, and peaked on the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 7.
