Bob Mould celebrates 'Life' on the road
Bob Mould will take his "Life and Times" out on tour beginning later this month, as the veteran singer/songwriter lines up dates ahead of his brand new solo album.
Mould kicks off the run with a pair of California shows--Feb. 28 in San Francisco and March 2 in Los Angeles--before the Washington, DC-based musician heads back eastward for a slate of appearances leading up to another coastal flip-flop and an April 18 slot at Indio, CA's Coachella Festival. Dates are below.
The performer's new studio effort, "Life and Times," is set for an April 7 release date. Mould produced and mixed the album, his eighth full-length solo effort since the breakup of his original band, '80s alt-rock icons Husker Du. The record, which follows last year's "District Line," marks the 20th anniversary of Mould's 1989 solo debut, "Workbook."
In addition to the new studio album, Mould recently announced a book contract with Little, Brown and Company to write his memoirs. The singer will collaborate with Michael Azerrad, author of the bestselling "Our Band Could Be Your Life" and "Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana," on the tome, which is scheduled for publication late next year.
"I have always looked forward to this point in time, where I could tell my stories, to answer the many questions about the music and the lifestyle, and how they inform the creative process," Mould said in a press release.
