Usher’s Doctor Prescribes Rest, Fluids After Collapse
Usher was recently hospitalized for exhaustion and dehydration after he passed out in a New York recording studio. As a result, the singer and actor wasn't able to appear at 'N Sync's charity celebrity basketball game at St. John's University on Saturday (7/29).
"His doctors have prescribed strict bed rest for two weeks and lots of fluids," Usher's manager, Jonetta Patton, said in a statement issued on Friday (7/28). "He would like his fans to know that he is fine and hopes to be back on his feet soon.''
Usher has also postponed a three-day photo shoot for the cover of his new album, which is scheduled to be released on Oct. 31. His 1997 album, "My Way," was certified seven times platinum.
