Kris Kristofferson lines up more 'Road' dates
Kris Kristofferson will take to the road later this month for a slate of shows, with the singer/actor performing material from his latest solo set, 2006's "This Old Road."
The veteran performer launches the outing Jan. 29 in Effingham, IL. After a leg of East Coast shows in late February and early March, Kristofferson next pops up in far eastern Canada, with dates in St. Johns, Newfoundland (3/25) and Halifax, Nova Scotia (3/26, 27). Details are shown below.
"This Old Road" was recorded in Hollywood and produced by Don Was (Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones), who also plays bass and piano on the album. It marks the first effort by Kristofferson for his new record label, New West Records.
"This Old Road" marks Kristofferson's first album of new material since 1995's "A Moment of Forever," which Was also produced. The performer's website includes audio and video samples from the album.
Kristofferson--who splits his time between music and a busy acting career--was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in November 2004.
