Juvenile Arrested And Charged With Assault And Battery

Juvenile, a.k.a. Terius Gray, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of both aggravated assault and simple battery after he allegedly threatened to shoot several female house guests and then chased them out of his home while wielding an ice pick, according to police.

According to a statement issued by Louisiana's Mandeville Police Department, officers on Thursday (7/20) at 4:46 a.m. responded to Gray's house after receiving a 911 call from one of his neighbors. Once there, the officers spoke with five women standing in front of the neighbor's house. The women told the officers that they were from New Orleans and that Gray had picked them up and brought them to his house to dance at his housewarming party.

The statement goes on to say that Gray and the women were in Gray's kitchen when water began leaking through the ceiling. Gray went upstairs and discovered that the leak was coming from an overflowing bathtub.

The women claimed that Gray then became enraged and demanded to know which of them had left the water running. When none of the women claimed responsibility, Gray allegedly verbally and physically attacked them. They claim, according to the statement, that Gray pushed three of them to the ground and threatened to shoot them, though the women also stated that they never saw Gray with a gun.

Gray then allegedly grabbed what appeared to be an ice pick and continued threatening them until they ran from his home to a neighbor's, at which point the police were called.

After speaking with the women, police arrested Gray and charged him with five counts of aggravated assault and three counts of simple battery. He was released after posting bail, and is due in court on Sept. 11.

Gray is best known for his hit single "Back That Azz Up," featured on his 1998, multi-platinum album "400 Degrees" (Cash Money). His follow-up album "Tha G-Code" was released in December of last year. He recently completed touring with the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour.

A spokesperson for Gray could not be reached for comment on his recent arrest.
