Foreigner tours with 'No End in Sight'

Veteran rockers Foreigner will stay on the road through fall to support their new greatest-hits album, "No End in Sight: The Very Best of Foreigner."

The band, which recently wrapped an outing with Bryan Adams, will break from its concert schedule this week for a whirlwind promotional tour. Stops include the "Mark and Brian in the Morning" radio show, NBC's "Today" show, "Access Hollywood," A&E's "Private Sessions" and CBS's "Early Show."

Foreigner will resume its concert trek Aug. 10 in Des Moines, IA, and visit fairs, festivals and a variety of music venues across the US into November. Details are listed below.

"No End in Sight: The Very Best of Foreigner" was released on Rhino Records July 15. The 32-track, double-disc anthology is the group's most comprehensive to date, with hits spanning Foreigner's three-decade career. In addition to classics including "I Want To Know What Love Is," "Feels Like The First Time," "Hot Blooded", "Urgent," and "Waiting For A Girl Like You," the collection features new live recordings and the band's first new single in more than a decade, "Too Late."

Foreigner founder/guitarist Mick Jones recently told the Associated Press that the greatest-hits collection signals fresh material is on the way. "Too Late," which is streaming at the band's MySpace page, is just a taste of what's to come.

"We haven't had the time because of the tour to concentrate on a whole album but we wanted something out that denotes the fact that the band is alive and taking this seriously," Jones told AP.

He added that he expects the band to drop a new album sometime next year.

Foreigner has sold more than 70 million album worldwide, according to its bio. The band's current lineup features Jones, vocalist Kelly Hanson, drummer Jason Bonham, bassist Jeff Pilson, multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel and pianist Michael Bluestein.
