A Perfect Circle To Launch Club Tour Next Month

A Perfect Circle will set out next month on a headlining club tour that is set to kick off in Boston on Aug. 18. The band--which features Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan--is touring in support of its debut release, "Mer De Noms."

The band is currently wrapping up a European tour, and will then play dates in Australia and Japan before returning to North American to participate in Canada's Summersault 2000, a summer concert festival tour that also features Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, the Deftones and others. Earlier this year, A Perfect Circle served as the opening act on Nine Inch Nails' North American tour dates.

Released in April, "Mer De Noms" debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart, and was driven by the band's radio hit "Judith." The album was certified Gold last month by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Summersault 2000 begins in Vancouver, British Columbia on Aug. 4 and winds up in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Aug. 16.
