Two Workers Hurt While Tearing Down 'N Sync Stage
Two workers were injured at Washington D.C.'s RFK Stadium on Tuesday morning (6/12) following the previous night's 'N Sync concert when scaffolding collapsed as the stage was being dismantled.
Local NBC affiliate WRC-TV reported that a 35-year-old woman was standing on the scaffolding when it collapsed on top of a 37-year-old man. The man suffered back and neck injuries and the woman suffered several cuts; both were admitted to a local hospital in stable condition.
A Chicago-area 'N Sync show was cancelled last month after the stage was felled by heavy winds while it was under construction. Workers had taken shelter before the collapse and no one was injured.
