Gretchen Wilson plots course for 2008

Country singer Gretchen Wilson is beginning to piece together her 2008 schedule as she continues to back her most recent album, "One of the Boys," which hit stores earlier this year.

The Illinois native will head south at the end of the month for her final date of the year, a Dec. 29 show in Biloxi, MS. Her first appearance of the new year comes at a Jan. 27 chili cook-off in Pembroke Pines, FL; all together, the singer shows 11 dates on her schedule through next June. Her current schedule is below.

"One of the Boys," Wilson's third studio album, follows 2005's platinum-selling "All Jacked Up," which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The first single from the new disc, "Come to Bed," was produced by Wilson's longtime collaborator, John Rich (of Big & Rich), who also contributes back-up vocals to the tune.

The album's latest single, "You Don't Have to Come Home," peaked at No. 53 on the country charts, marking the first time the singer has had one of her official singles fail to hit the country Top 40.
