Bruce Springsteen sets July homecoming

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have unveiled plans to play three 2008 shows at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, a venue that Springsteen has sold out 66 times over the course of his career--including 51 times with the E Street Band.

The newly confirmed shows are set for July 27, 28 and 31, and tickets will go on sale Dec. 15, according to Springsteen's publicist.

Last month, the Boss and company--currently on a sold-out European tour--unveiled a 2008 North American tour itinerary that launches with a Feb. 28 show in Hartford, CT, and stretches through the end of April. Another European jaunt will follow.

The group is supporting Springsteen's 23rd album, "Magic," which has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album is also certified double-platinum in Norway, and platinum in Canada, Ireland, Italy, Holland and Sweden.

In other news, Springsteen's camp has announced plans to release "an exclusive bundle" of "Girls in their Summer Clothes," the latest single from "Magic." The iTunes-only bundle will feature the new, Mark Pellington-directed video for the song, a new "Winter Mix" of the song, and a recent audio concert performance.
