Silverstein maps fall tour 'Arrivals'
Alt-rockers Silverstein will follow up their current slate of opening dates for punk revivalists Rise Against with a headlining tour of their own later in the year.
The Canadian group--which is backing its recent studio release "Arrivals & Departures"--will hit Cleveland tonight (8/22) as it continues to play a supporting role for Chicago's Rise Against. Canadian hardcore outfit Comeback Kid offers additional support for the trek, which continues through the middle of September.
Silverstein's own headlining slate then kicks off Oct. 2 in Rockford, IL, with visits to clubs and small theaters in 28 cities through early November. Punk/emo acts From Autumn to Ashes and Strike Anywhere will handle opening duties, and all dates are shown below.
Released in early July, "Arrivals & Departures" represents Silverstein's third proper studio album (following last year's "18 Candles: The Early Years," which collected the band's first two EPs and several bonus and live cuts) since forming in 2000 and debuting with that year's "Summer's Stellar Gaze" EP.
The album debuted at No. 25 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in the US, with the set reaching No. 13 in the band's native Canada.
