Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Announce Co-Headlining Tour Plans

Country musicians Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have unveiled the itinerary of a long-planned co-headlining tour, which will open on July 12 in Atlanta. Each singer will perform a solo set, but they will take the stage together for duets during the course of the show.

McGraw and Hill developed into top-selling country music acts during the mid- to late-1990s. Married, the couple met in 1996 on the "Spontaneous Combustion" tour.

Hill's latest album, "Breathe," debuted last November at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 album chart and on the country chart. Three million copies of the album have sold to date, according to Hill's official website. "Breathe" is the follow-up to Hill's breakthrough 1998 album "Faith," which sold more than four million copies and included the crossover hit "This Kiss."

McGraw also debuted at No. 1 on the album and country charts with his latest release, 1999's "A Place in the Sun." He has won the Country Music Association's Album of the Year award two years in a row.

Bud Light will sponsor McGraw on the tour. He has already made five national television commercials for the company. Alltel recently signed Hill to an advertising and marketing agreement, and will be her sponsor for the tour.
