Santana Inks Licensing Deal For “Carlos” Shoes

Carlos Santana and Brown Shoe Company have entered into a licensing agreement that will allow the shoe company to produce a line of men's and women's fashion footwear bearing the "Carlos" label.

According to St. Louis-based Brown Shoe, the shoes will feature "cutting-edge fashion with multi-cultural influences," and will be sold in retail outlets throughout the U.S. starting this fall.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the shoes will be donated to the Milagro Foundation, which was co-founded by Santana and his wife Deborah to provide financial assistance for the housing and education needs of children throughout the world.

In February, men's apparel company Dino di Milano unveiled its "Carlos" clothing line, which includes knit and woven tops, casual and dress pants, soft blazers and sweaters. A portion of the sales from the clothing line are also earmarked for the Milagro Foundation.
