Tracy Byrd Tours As Charity Album Hits Stores
Country musician Tracy Byrd, who gathered a long list of stars for a just-released album to support some of his favorite conservation-oriented charities, will keep busy with an extensive spring and summer touring schedule that focuses on the southern and eastern U.S.
"Tracy Byrd's Wonders of Wildlife," which was released on May 6, features a new Byrd track called "Pass It On," as well as previously unreleased tracks from Brad Paisley, Alabama, Montgomery Gentry, Waylon Jennings, Mark Chesnutt, Aaron Tippin, Keith Whitley, Charlie Daniels Band, Kenny Chesney and others.
Proceeds from the CD will be donated to national conservation groups such as Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, National Wild Turkey Foundation and Quail Unlimited.
Byrd will also host a benefit concert for conservation that will be broadcast May 30 on TNN. Among the artists scheduled to appear are Paisley, Chesney, Kenny Rogers, Travis Tritt, John Anderson, the Wilkinsons, Bryan White, Terri Clark and Andy Griggs.
Byrd's seventh album, "It's About Time," was released in November 1999.
