Bob Seger 'Promise' dates continue to surface

Bob Seger's comeback tour continues to rev, with the Michigan rocker and his Silver Bullet Band piling even more dates onto an already packed schedule.

Seger, who takes the stage tonight (2/1) in Washington, DC, has added new shows at the back end of his schedule, with appearances in Inglewood, CA; Las Vegas; and Lexington, KY.

Seger is working the road on his first concert tour since 1996 in support of his latest album, "Face the Promise." The set, which hit stores Sept. 2, debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 album chart and recently was certified platinum, marking the 11th platinum album of his career

A 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Seger began his recording career almost 40 years ago, when he released "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" with his then-current band, The Bob Seger System. He went on to record more than a dozen albums, most with his longtime group, The Silver Bullet Band, and has notched lifetime album sales of nearly 50 million.

Seger's 1994 "Greatest Hits" compilation has sold more than 7 million copies to date, and has remained on the Billboard Pop Catalog chart for an unbroken 600-week run.
