Tony Bennett, Diana Krall Paired For Late-Summer Tour

Legendary crooner Tony Bennett and jazz vocalist/pianist Diana Krall--both of whom were winners at this year's Grammy Awards--will share the bill on a late-summer amphitheater tour of nearly 20 cities.

The tour will get underway with an August 4-5 stand at L.A.'s Hollywood Bowl that includes a symphony. Local symphonies will also be featured in several other shows. Tickets are currently on sale for the tour's Sept. 2 stop in Lennox, Mass. Other on-sale dates hadn't been announced at press time.

Bennett's most recent Grammy was in the Traditional Pop Vocal Performance category for his album ''Bennett Sings Ellington--Hot & Cool.'' It was Bennett's ninth Grammy since ''I Left My Heart In San Francisco'' picked up Record Of The Year and Best Pop Male Vocal in 1962.

Krall won her first Grammy this year, taking home the trophy in the Jazz Vocal Performance category for her album ''When I Look In Your Eyes'' (Verve), which was Billboard's No. 2 jazz album of 1999.

Bennett and Krall are currently touring independently.
