'Hannah Montana' soundtrack shoots to No. 1

Much-hyped new releases from My Chemical Romance and John Legend hit stores last week, but both albums were easily outsold by the soundtrack to the Disney series " Hannah Montana," which tops this week's US album chart.

"Hannah Montana" sold 281,000 copies during its first week in stores, compared to 240,000 copies for My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade" and 231,000 for John Legend's sophomore album, "Once Again," which enter The Billboard 200 chart at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. Billboard bases its album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail-sales reports.

Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" holds steady at No. 4 with 89,000 copies sold, while Evanescence's "The Open Door" falls three notches to No. 5 with 78,000 copies sold, according to Billboard.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Hinder's "Extreme Behavior," Diddy's "Press Play," Tony Bennett's "Duets: An American Classic," Nickelback's "All The Right Reasons" and The Killers' "Sam's Town."
