Sia maps out dates for second US tour

Australian singer Sia is set to embark on her second US tour in November as she continues to back this year's North American release of her second album, "Colour the Small One."

The performer--whose full name is Sia Furler--spent most of the summer touring with trip-hop duo Zero 7, for whom she contributed vocals and songwriting credits on their latest album, "The Garden."

Sia will kick off her US outing Nov. 2 in Seattle, the first of 14 shows on the trek.

"Colour the Small One" received its US release early this year. The album was originally released in 2004 in her home country and around the globe.

"I just wanted to make an album that was more song driven, and I've changed as a person," Sia said of the set in her online bio. "After the first album I lost it, and this album reflects how I was feeling. The vocals are small and needy, because that's how I felt."

The singer scored her first success in 2000, when her first single, "Taken For Granted," unexpectedly broke into the Australian Top 10 chart.

US listeners may be familiar with Sia even if they're not aware of the fact. Her song "Breathe Me" was used in the final scene of the "Six Feet Under" series finale.
